Marathon Special Products (MSP), a division of Regal Beloit, introduces a new expansion to their line of enclosed fuse holders for the industrial control market.
The new Fused Disconnect Switch (FDS) series incorporates the switch functionality of a circuit breaker with the high-protection level of a CC fuse. The FDS allows end-users to shut off and isolate branch circuits in electrical control systems in order to safely perform maintenance on the downstream circuit components.
Unlike any fuse holder of this type on the market, the FDS fuse chamber is electrically isolated from both the line and load sides of the holder, regardless of which side is actually utilized as the load. The FDS also differentiates from the competition by providing a means of easily extracting the fuse with a removable fuse carrier. The FDS accepts common lock out devices and mounts on standard 35mm din rail.
